About Me
- Maureen
- I have been an artist all of my life, mostly freelancing in commercial and fine art in a wide variety of media for corporate and private clients. Currently my joy comes from my collage and mixed media/altered art work focusing on the empowerment of women, abuse of women and children, and opening doors long closeted by denial and secrecy. Personally, I could not have a blog and not use my writer's voice to bring more attention to women and children's abuse issues. I have long been passionate about the subject. I would also like to share my passion about the practice of mindfulness in daily life to bring peace and enlightenment. Finally, I wish to open others up to bringing play and whimsy into the world around us and experience the joy of childish things, maybe for the first time.
